    About us

    We created a venue that has been crafted with love, built for celebration.

    We need to introduce ourselves!

    This is our family: Matt, Kelly, Elijah, and Emma Wood, owners of Copper Creek Ridge.

    Here is how it all started: The building started as a furniture store in 2010 and transformed into a rental for a bakery in 2015. When the bakery went out of business in 2018, we knew we had found a beautiful building, but didn’t know what to do with it just yet. So, after a lot of conversations with friends and co-workers, we decided there was a huge need for a venue in the area, and our building would work perfectly. We created a venue that has been specifically designed for weddings but is still a perfect place for anniversaries, graduation parties, corporate events, vendor shows, and fundraisers. Oh, and not to mention how great is it to be next to the Riverside Casino, to which we can now provide a perfect option for “after event” lodging and entertainment! We wanted to build this venue the right way and encompass all the amenities our guests would need. Well, come to find out, there is an amazing group of people out there that are crazy about weddings! I mean CRAZY about weddings! Our family was blessed to be connected with some of the most experienced event planners, wedding planners, and vendors in the area. They used all their talent and creativity in helping us create our space from beginning to end. We call that “crafted with love,” and now you know why. We are thankful for our growing success in the process of creating our space, but also for the friendships we made with these great people! We can’t wait until you have a chance to see our venue, whether as a vendor or as a guest, and we can’t wait to meet you!

    It’s your day! At Copper Creek Ridge, we know you may have a vendor you would like to work with! That is your choice on your special day, and you shouldn’t have to compromise. We have provided the preferred list that we know and trust as professionals. We require all of our vendors to carry insurance. Here is the list of vendors that we recommend:


    How do I schedule a tour?

    Call 319-648-2242 to schedule a tour. You can also fill out our booking form on this site and we will contact you. We can’t wait to meet with you!

    Do you offer linens?

    We do offer linens in a wide variety of colors.  We will dress the tables in the linens for you as well as clean them after the event.  If you choose white, ivory, or black they are $20 per table. All other colors are $30 per table.

    Do I have to choose from the preferred catering list or can I choose my own caterer?

    We know there are a lot of talented wedding caterers out there, so you can select the caterer of your choice! We have provided you with a list of “preferred vendors” in order to assist you in choosing a caterer that will help you create your best day ever!

    Is the venue available for other events other than just weddings?

    Yes, we host all kinds of events, such as corporate events, anniversary and graduation parties, receptions, and business shows.

    OK, I’m ready to book! How does that work?

    Let us know the date of your wedding or event and we will check for availability! Assuming that it is available, we will either send or email you the rental agreement for your signature(s). At that time, a deposit is required to reserve the date. It’s that simple!

    Do you have someone on-site to help assist if we have any questions or problems the day of the wedding?

    We do have an experienced onsite coordinator to help make your special day a whole lot easier! She is there to tackle your wedding timeline so you can be free from worry. She will set up the tables and chairs in your specified layout, place the linens on tables, coordinate the flow of guest traffic, and answer any questions you or your vendors may have. Amazingly, this is part of EVERY wedding package!

    Is there a place for the bridal party to get ready?

    Yes! You have a beautiful bridal suite with plenty of mirrors, outlets, and a bathroom. Yes, a bathroom just for the bride and whomever she chooses! The kitchen is right next to the bridal room, which means you will have access to coffee or any drink you would like us to have ready for you. Mimosas are always a favorite! We also haven’t forgotten the groomsmen. There is a room for them with a television and a small refrigerator that can be filled with drink(s) of choice!

    Can we get married at this venue? We were thinking of an outdoor wedding.

    You can get married here! If you choose to have the ceremony outdoors, there is plenty of room. We do not offer outdoor seating at this time, but it can be easily rented. Check out our list of vendors that offer outdoor seating and tents! Since we are a newer venue, we have plans to make an outdoor area that will be beautiful and accommodating.     Do you have a bar or do we have to take care of all the beverages?

    We have a beautiful bar in our venue. What’s great is that we can design any bar package to meet your taste while also making it affordable! 30 days before your wedding, we will meet and go through all of our options with you!
